A thread lift places absorbable threads in the fascia beneath the skin; the result comes from the threads' pull and the collagen that forms afterward. The threads need time to settle, so care over the next two weeks directly affects the outcome. These are the instructions B:AID gives every guest.

The first three days

Swelling and bruising around the treated area are normal. Apply gentle cold compresses for about ten minutes at a time, and sleep on your back to avoid pressure on the sides. Take the prescribed medication for three days to prevent inflammation and ease pain. Keep the dressing on the treated area until it heals.

The first four weeks

Avoid opening your mouth wide — no big yawns, big laughs or biting hard foods; if the double chin was treated, don't turn your head forcefully. Skip facial massage and heat (sauna, steam rooms, hot baths) for the month. Makeup and washing are fine from the next day, but be gentle.

When to contact us

If pain worsens despite medication, or you notice color changes, blisters, persistent heat or itching, contact us on WeChat with photos. This applies after you've returned home too — we reply in Chinese or English and tell you whether you need to see a doctor locally.
