At B:AID, whether you come for lifting or just a few acne marks, we run a Meta Vu skin scan before the consultation. Many first-time guests ask whether it can be skipped. The answer is no — everything that follows depends on it.
What it measures
Meta Vu photographs the face under four LED light sources and produces 14 measurements: pigmentation, redness, sebum, acne bacteria, pores, nasolabial folds, elasticity, tone and skin texture invisible to the naked eye. Different lights expose different problems — hidden pigment under UV, for instance, that ordinary light won't show.
How the result is used
The director goes through the images with you: what needs attention now, what can wait, and why. This often changes the plan — someone who came for brightening finds redness is the real issue; someone worried about pores turns out to have excess sebum. The plan is built on data rather than impressions.
We measure again afterward
The same device and lighting are used again after treatment, so the before-and-after is unambiguous. It's also how we judge results and decide whether to add or change treatments. The scan takes about three minutes and needs no preparation beyond removing makeup.
